September 2004 Idea of the Month Crayon Resist
Here's a fun, easy new technique to try using crayons.
Supplies: Stamps of your choice (line-image stamps work best) Glossy paper Inks of your choice Rubber brayer Crayon (any color)
Step 1: Stamp and Prepare your Image
Stamp your image onto glossy paper. Use any color crayon to highlight your image in selected areas (see photo above).
Step 2:
Use a rubber brayer to apply ink to the entire surface. The crayon will resist the ink. Then, use a rag or tissue to rub off the crayon, revealing your white highlights. The crayon will rub right off!
