Sandpaper Embossing

Embossing on sandpaper is amazing simple, but the results are very impressive!  There's no magic here... simply emboss your image onto a piece of sandpaper, just like it was piece of cardstock.  Since most sandpaper is some kind of brownish color, your best bet is to stick with brown, tan, black, and/or earth tone colors for your papers and inks.  Our Close To My Heart® Naturals Sampler and Exclusive Desert Sand Cardstock and Background/Texture Papers work very nicely.   

In my sample, the sandcastle has been embossed in black onto sandpaper.  I created the border "blocks" simply by sponging black ink using one of our Reflections/ABC Scrapbook Program® II stencils- the calendar template!  The "day" blocks in this stencil are the perfect size for the starfish from the By the Sea stamp set.
