Scratch and Sniff Watercolors

If you want to add a bit of fun to your stamping, try this technique to make your cards "scratch and sniff" using unsweetened powdered drink mix.

Step 1: Stamp your Images

Start by stamping your images as usual using a dye-based ink.  For example, stamp the orange from the Citrus Set in orange ink on your card front.   Try other fruits, too: lemons, limes, cherries, watermelon, etc.  Your choices are only limited by the flavors of powdered drink mix!

Step 2: Mix the Paint and Apply

To make scratch and sniff watercolor paint, simply mix equal parts of unsweetened powdered drink mix and warm water.    Using a paint brush, carefully paint over your stamped image.  For best results, let dry before scratching to sniff.
