Supplies:

Stamps of your choice (I used the April 2005 Stamp of the Month)

6 x 6" piece of cardstock for basket

1.5 x 8" piece of cardstock for basket handle

4- 1.75" squares of coordinating background/texture paper (to decorate outside of basket)

2 Brads

Piercing Tool

Ruler

Scoring tool

Scissors

Adhesive

Step 1: Prepare Basket Pieces

Measure 2" in from each edge of the 6x6" piece of cardstock and score.  You will score a total of 4 lines, forming a grid of 2x2" sections (see photo above- I have darkened the score lines a bit so you can see them).

Fold and unfold along each of the score lines to crease them.  Using scissors, make 4 cuts towards the center (2 cuts each on OPPOSITE sides of the cardstock) as shown in the photo above.

Adhere the 4- 1.75" squares of background/texture paper to the corner squares so they will show on the outside of the basket; place 1 square in each corner (these are not shown in the above photo... they are on the opposite side of the cardstock).

Stamp and decorate basket handle as desired.

Step 2: Assemble Basket

Working on one side of the basket at a time, begin by folding a center flap up.  Pull up the adjacent corner  flaps towards the center, but don't fold them in all the way (see photo above).  Adhere the corner sections to the center flap as shown, a little offset.  Repeat on the opposite side of the basket.  Here is a side view of what you should have:

Glue handle to inside of basket.  Using piercing tool, poke holes through sides and handle and attach a brad on each side to secure handle.  Decorate the outside of the basket and you're done!
